“Do people really want to be self directing?” I believe that some people do want to be self directing, but at the same time, others do not. There are appropriate times for self directing, but there are times when it is good to be lead rather than lead.

is this not true for all leadership and motivational approaches? – there is no universal approach, but there is good practice
