|Neil Hunt, Chief Executive, Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP)
Neil joined RCGP in January 2011 and has significant experience of developing organisations in the charity sector. Prior to his appointment at RCGP he was Chief Executive of the Alzheimer’s Society, where he led an impressive modernisation, developing new services, raising the public profile of the organisation, and increasing its revenue from £27m to £60m. He had notable success in lobbying government and chaired the advisory group that led to the National Dementia Strategy for England.

|Becky Reid, Marketing Manager, Fire Industry Association (FIA)
A Chartered Marketer, Becky has over 15 years marketing experience covering a number of industries and both commercial and not-for-profit. Following eight years in the motorcycle industry Becky moved over to the Fire Industry Association with the brief to review the company’s marketing activity and drive the professionalism of the brand forward. The FIA is now the largest trade association in the fire protection industry.

Mike Morrison is MD of RapidBI, and creator of the CIPD LinkedIn members group. With over 25 years in people development, Mike is a specialist in organisational development, change management and leadership, often through collaboration.

Sue has over 33 years experience in marketing and over the last 14 years has specialised in working with membership organisations on member recruitment and retention issues. Over 2,400 delegates have attended her events and seminars. She is also involved with a number of research and consultancy projects for various associations. She is passionate about helping associations strategically, operationally and tactically with member recruitment and retention issues. She is a firm believer in practical, common sense approaches that are backed up by evidence. Sue is a founder member of the UK Professional Speakers Association.
|Steve Thomas, Managing Director, Purple Vision
Steve has a broad career background with experience ranging from youth development to juggernaut engineering, and from voluntary-sector fundraising to commercial banking. His speciality is strategic brand management, where he has developed and implemented many successful campaigns.
As Director of Marketing & Fundraising at healthcare charity Sue Ryder Care, Steve built a high-performance department from scratch and led a major re-brand project to revitalise its fading image. Steve is a passionate advocate of the unrecognised (and unrealised) power of “whole-organisation marketing” and a committed practitioner of integrated marketing communications. In 1996 Evan joined the pioneering internet search engine, Excite.com, as one of its earliest employees, and from 1998-2001 he was managing director of Excite Europe, overseeing all European operations. In the late 1980s and early 1990s Evan worked on some of the earliest online news services at both News Corporation and Newsday, the suburban New York daily newspaper.
